80-year-old Hit and Killed On Cole Road

An elderly woman is dead this morning after she was hit and killed on Cole Road and Hummel Dr. last night. 

According to idahonews.com, the accident happened about 10 p.m. and the driver was headed south on Cole Road when the victim was hit while crossing Cole and Hummel.

The 80-year-old woman's identity has been confirmed, but has not been released pending notification of her family. She died after been transported to the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing but alcohol is not expected to be a factor in this case.

This breaks my heart. Who knows what truly happened. Was she crossing the road on a crosswalk? Is this someone's grandma? Was she with anyone?
