Rescuers have been searching Lucky Peak since Sunday night and now authorities are officially saying they believe the 21-year-old man they have been searching for is dead.

Christian Vernon Dale fell off a moving boat on Sunday night and hasn't been seen since.

According to idahonews.com, nine other people were on the boat when Christian fell at about 9:00 p.m.

After a long day of boating, the friends were headed back to the Barclay Bay boat ramp when the accident happened.

Christian was sitting on the bow of the boat and when a hat fell out the driver turned around to retrieve it and that's when Christian fell out.

After immediate search efforts turned up nothing, the group returned to the Spring Shores marina to get help.

Helicopters, sonar equipment, and infrared technology were used to help locate Christian, but the search has turned up nothing. Investigators say they do not suspect foul play in the incident and they will continue recovery efforts. The area of water Christian fell in to is 105 feet deep and he was not wearing a life jacket.

Christian played on the BSU hockey team and was known as "Buddy" by his teammates.
