10 Years Ago Today I Became a Mama

July 4, 2006 at 8:41 pm was one of the best days and moments of my entire life. It's the moment I became a Mom!

I loved him way before he was born and the moment they put him on my chest I thought he was the most handsome little boy I had ever seen.

He had personality right from the start. He loved sleeping on my chest so he could hear my heartbeat, and as he has grown, we've developed a bond like no other. We just "get" each other and I couldn't be more proud of the little man he is becoming. Here are my

10. He always says, "Don't spoil me!" He doesn't like anyone to do too much for him.

9. He is so good to his little sister. He always watches out for her and wants to make sure she is happy and o.k.

8. He is the best snuggler. If you ever need a hug, Boston will give you the best one!

7. He has this cute little "dimple" by his left eye that looks like a little bit of dried glue on his skin. (You probably have to see it to see how cute it is!)

6. He doesn't complain about cleaning up or doing homework very often, he just does it.

5. He is a great friend. He always says "I don't want to pick a best friend because all of my friends are my best friends." He always thinks about how different situations might make them feel.

4. He is passionate about life! He wants to hike Mt. Everest, visit the Dominican Republic, and go to lots of different camping spots.

3. He makes me laugh. He is always telling jokes or singing his "gangster songs," and he pulls the silliest faces.

2. His smile. He has always had the best smile and laugh. I used to take him to photographers when he was just tiny and they would always say "I can't believe how smiley and photogenic he is!"

1. He is so determined to succeed in life. He has accomplished more in 10 years than I ever thought he would. Maybe that seems pessimistic, but Boston has had some major challenges in his 10 years and I used to worry so much about his future. Today I know without a doubt he can do Anything he sets his mind to!
