Woman Hangs Child At Day Care

Police are on this... investigating what they say is one of the most unspeakable crimes they've heard of, ever!  A 16-month-old child hanging at a day care.

This morning a day care provider hanged a 16-month-old boy at a home in Minneapolis.  Fortunately a mother dropping her own child off at the day care saw what was going on and rescued the little boy.  He's now at the hospital and doing ok.

The suspect ran from the scene of the crime and sped off in a gold minivan, running over a man and dragging him for a significant distance.  The man suffered several broken bones, cuts, and bruises.  He is expected to survive.

After that, the suspect hit a man riding a bike, breaking his leg.  He's recovering at the hospital as well.

The suspect continued driving, running into several vehicles, and finally jumped out of the van and attempted to commit suicide by jumping off the Park Ave bridge.  The good citizens of Minneapolis tackled her and held her down until the police arrived.  She's currently in the hospital and will soon be released to the Hennepin County Jail.

What instigated this incident and the psychological condition of this woman is unknown.  A thorough investigation is underway.
