The Winter Carnival kicked off this weekend in McCall and there is all kinds of fun in store!

The carnival has quite a history. I was looking at mccallchamber.org and the site has some really cool info!

"The McCall Winter Carnival was inspired by the Payette Lake Winter Games, first held in 1924 when a train from Boise brought 248 visitors to McCall, Idaho. The official McCall Winter Carnival started in the 1960s and over the years, the Carnival has grown into an iconic Idaho event bringing more than 60,000 people to McCall each year"!

Along with amazing snow sculptures, famous ice-cream, amazing beer and scenery, what a nice little getaway for a day or weekend!

The carnival goes through next Sunday February, 5th. Check out the event guide at, http://mccallchamber.org/winter-carnival/
