A resident of Wilder has been involved in a deadly hit and run crash in Oregon.

The crash happened about 2:30 pm on Sunday along highway 126 around the Belnap Springs area.

According to KTVB and the Oregon State Police, Kermit Lisle Jr., age 64, of Salem, Oregon was driving westbound on highway 126 when the crash happened. Kermit was driving a Toyota pickup truck and pulling a trailer.

At the same time, 64 year old Leslie Wright of Wilder Idaho was driving in the opposite direction on highway 126, crossed the center line in front of Kermit's Toyota and then swerved back.

The Toyota also swerved to avoid the crash but ended up hitting a dirt embankment and several trees before rolling. Kermit Lisle Jr. was killed in the rollover while Leslie Wright of Wilder continued driving along the highway.
