The Susan G. Komen race for the cure is just over a month away! Here's 10 reasons why YOU need to become a WOW Walking Warrior today!!

Mark you calendars, May 7th is the day we will walk to help fight breast cancer and create awareness here in the Treasure Valley. It will be my first year participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and I can't wait for us to rally together for this incredible cause. Here's

My Top 10 Reasons YOU should become a WOW Walking Warrior

1. One in every 8 women will develop Breast Cancer in their lifetime. Those numbers are HUGE. Those number means it could happen to me, it could happen to YOU and most likely it will happen to someone you love, so we have to fight together.

2. We are bribing you with super cute HOT PINK WOW Socks! They are going to be so much fun and I can't wait to see us all in our hot pink legs!

3. Every MINUTE someone around the world dies of Breast Cancer. We can't continue to let this happen. We have to fight together, walk, and donate to make a difference.

4. We are making a difference! The survival rate for those diagnosed with the early stages of breast cancer back in 1980 was 74%. Today that survival rate is 99%!! These women are surviving because people raise money and awareness through events like Race for the Cure.

5. Idaho has one of the lowest rates in the country for women getting mammograms. Mammograms save lives and we have to change this statistic!!

6. We are women and we have to fight together. If you are a woman and you love WOW Country, join our team!! Get your friends, family, and neighbors and lets get the biggest team out there on May 7th.

7. It's a GREAT excuse to get out of the house!! Who doesn't want a break where you can hangout with your besties and do some good!!

8. This is a race where you don't have to be fast! You can walk the entire way and chat with your friends and you are still going to be doing wonderful things to help fight breast cancer!

9. You will feel so accomplished!! Anyone who has ever crossed a finish line knows the satisfaction that comes with that. It's one of the greatest natural highs I have ever experienced!!

10. Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure benefits people right here in the Treasure Valley. A lot of the money stays right here and Komen has raised more for Breast Cancer Research than any other non-profit. In fact they have raised $889 million to date.

Don't put it off any longer!! Become a WOW Walking Warrior today!!
