Why Emmett is the Best Not the Worst

Emmett just made a list of the Worst Cities to Live in in Idaho, but after our visit to Emmett yesterday I have to say it's a pretty cool place. Here's why!

We recently discovered this ridiculous list of the Worst Places to Live in Idaho and Emmett came in #6!!! What?! We were not happy about any cities within the Treasure Valley making this list, so we took about an hour drive out to Emmett yesterday to find out about this little city for ourselves.

Our first stop was Kenneth J. Carberry Elementary where we found the most enthusiastic and patriotic little kiddos to do the Pledge of Allegiance for us. You can hear them all next week on WOW at 8am Monday through Friday.

Next up we stopped by the Cherry Ridge Nursing Home where we met one of our most loyal listeners, Renae. Renae puts a smile on the faces of so many of the people she works with. We also had the opportunity to meet some amazing people at the nursing home, including "TJ" who's a blind retired vet., that listens to our show every single morning. It was an honor to meet "TJ" and everyone at Cherry Ridge.

We also learned about the Cherry Festival which runs June 15-18th in Emmett. It includes a carnival, parade, and the best cherries ever at a great price. I've talked to so many people that say it is a must to do in the summertime!
