When Will Table Rock Re-Open?

We had plans to hike Table Rock this weekend and that's obviously not going to happen, but when will the trail re-open?

Crews are still looking for hot spots after Wednesday's late night fire at Table Rock that was started by fireworks and ended up scorching approximately 2,500 acres.

According to the BLM and KTVB, a fire of this magnitude hasn't happened at Table Rock in about 60 years.

Caution tape now blocks the popular trails at Table Rock near the Old Penitentiary and no one will be able to hike Table Rock through the 4th of July weekend. 98% of the trails were burnt in the fire and there is no word on when the trails will officially re-open.

The public is being asked to call 9-1-1 if you see any smoke or flames around the perimeter of Table Rock.
