It's been more than 10 years since Idaho has seen a new Governor but Butch Otter is stepping down into retirement which has opened up the field for newcomers.  According to The New York Times, Republican, Brad Little is expected to easily win this election clinching his seat tonight in a state that HAS NOT elected a Democrat into position for Governor since 1990.

The main contenders for Idaho Governor are Brad Little (Republican), Paulette Jordan (Democrat), Walt Bayes (Constitution), and Bev Boeck (Libertarian).

  • Luitenant Governor  -  Kristin Collum (D) and Janice McGeachin (R)
  • Attorney General  -  Lawrence Wasden (R) and Bruce Bistline (D)
  • State Senate
  • State House
  • Secretary of State  -  Lawerence Denney (R) and Jill Humble (D)
  • Treasurer  -  Julie Ellsworth (R)  *uncontested
  • U.S. House
