I remember when I thought St. Jude was just another hospital that treated kids with cancer. A hospital far far away in Memphis, Tennessee. St. Jude is far more than just another hospital. It is saving our kids lives. Kids right here in the Treasure Valley.

I will never forget the moment I learned that there is No Billing Department at St. Jude. It blew my mind. What hospital doesn't have a billing department? I had gone through major back surgery the year before and without insurance my medical bills were around $380,000. I couldn't imagine not paying anything for medical treatment.

Not only do families at St. Jude never receive a bill, but they provide these families with food, housing, travel, and entertainment all at ZERO cost. How do they do this? They do this through people like you becoming a "Partner in Hope."

Your monthly donation of just $20 allows these families to solely focus on getting their child well. It allows them to be emotionally present without the financial burden that almost always comes with illness. I get it. $20 a month may seem like a lot. The first year we did our St. Jude radiothon I didn't become a Partner in Hope. I figured I had done my part by getting the word out and putting in a couple 12 hour shifts without extra pay. Last year I thought "how can I tell our listeners to become a Partner in Hope and not become a Partner in Hope myself?" How can I tell people that they will never miss $20 a month when I was afraid I might miss it myself. So I became a Partner in Hope and guess what. There was not one month that went by that I missed that money. Not one month that not having that $20 put me in some financial crisis.

If you are thinking my $20 a month won't make a difference you are so wrong. If everyone thought that St. Jude couldn't do what they do.

If you are thinking St. Jude is in Memphis it doesn't affect kids in my community, you are so wrong.

12 year old Krew Steele of Middleton is currently receiving treatment for a brain tumor at St. Jude.

11 year old Jack Bevan of Star is also receiving treatment for brain cancer at St. Jude.

These kids and their families right here in our community have hope because of YOU.
