Wow, will this ever end?! Boise hasn't seen a winter this bad in at least a couple decades and the snow is going to continue! A Winter Storm Warning is about to take affect. Here's what you need to know!

 

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Warning!!

 

This warning goes into effect from 7 pm tonight until 9 am tomorrow morning.  With the wind chill temperatures will be between -20 and -35 degrees in the Treasure Valley!

 

Heavy snow is expected as well. A Winter Storm Warning will bring a total of 6 to 12 inches of more snow between 8 am Saturday and 5 pm Sunday.

 

Snow may change to freezing rain or rain Sunday afternoon.

 

Winds will be traveling east or southeast at 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph east of Boise.

 

Northeast winds will be felt at 35 to 40 mph near Jerome.

 

Please keep all animals out of the wind and cold.

 

Expect travel problems late Saturday into Sunday.

 

It is advised that you only travel this weekend if you must.

 

Please keep a flashlight, extra food, and water in your car in case of an emergency.
