Wahooz, Roaring Springs Spending $6 Million for Improvements
Some changes are coming to Wahooz and Roaring Springs in Meridian. Over $6 miilion will be used to get "three new slides and more than 20 animal-themed toys." You'll be able to see these improvements soon, too. According to the Idaho Statesman, by their opening day (May 13), you'll be able to check out an expansion area called 'Barefoot Bay'. That project will cost about $1.6 million.
Wahooz has already undergone some really great improvements, but they're doing more! They will be expanding their 'Galaxy Event Center' to 10,000 square feet and they're also adding a catering kitchen. It will accommodate up to 600 people and will be used for "receptions, meetings, trade shows and other gatherings." This expansion will run about $4.5 million and you can start checking that out in November.
Meridian Mayor, Tammy de Weerd, talked about the changes at the State of the City Address on Wednesday. This is pretty exciting stuff coming to the City of Meridian, can't wait to check out the improvements!
