I just found out my Great-Grandma's House is being turned into a vacation rental home here in Idaho!

Nearly every Thanksgiving my Dad would pack us in the family van and we would drive to the little town of Grangeville, Idaho (about a 4 hour drive North of Boise) to celebrate the holiday with my Great Grandma and Grandpa Willey. Lot's of extended family made this a tradition. We would pack into their little house and they are some of the best memories of my childhood.

I remember going out to my Grandpa's wood shop and chatting with him as he whittled some masterpiece. The smell was incredible and today I cherish my little wooden rolling pin that Grandpa was famous for making.

I remember the Thanksgiving pies lined up and being so tempted to stick my finger in! Huckleberry pie was my favorite and I remember there was always a mincemeat pie. I remember thinking as a child "Mincemeat?!! Why would anyone want to make a pie called mincemeat?!"

Mornings were greeted by Grandma's scones with huckleberry jam. I remember banging on my Grandma's piano, and chasing Grandpa's old snooper cat outside.

My Great-Grandparents passed away when I was around 17 years old, but the memories will always remain. Today, whenever we have a pet die in the family I tell my children not to worry because Grandpa Willey is taking care of them in heaven.

I miss them so much, but I was thrilled to learn that their home is being turned into a vacation rental home so we can go for a little trip and let my children experience what it was like to go to Grandma and Grandpa Willey's house!

You can stay at my Grandparent's house too if you'd like!

It's located at 514 N. A Street Grangeville, Idaho 83530. They are still in the process of making it a vacation rental, but when it's ready to go you can rent it out HERE.

**All pictures in the gallery are actual pictures of my Grandma's house. It has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom (from what I remember) and then a separate studio apartment outside.
