UPDATE on Teen Beaten in Nampa

It's one of the cruelest things I've heard about here in the Treasure Valley and now we know the ridiculous reason this 15 year old boy was beaten in a Nampa Park. 

Jason Cooley has spent over a week in the hospital now recovering from the injuries he sustained after two other teens beat him up until he was unconscious at City Acres Park.

The teens have been arrested and are currently in the Southwest Idaho Juvenile Detention Center.

The reason Jason was beaten so badly was is apparently over a small amount of money according to Sgt. Tim Riha.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family out. Jason's Mom has had to take time off from work to care for her son and of course his medical expenses have taken a toll.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jason and his family. We hope that he makes a full and complete recovery.
