UPDATE: Despite continued discussion, it's business as usual for two downtown Boise establishments after what could have been much, much worse.

Just before 6 a.m. on Oct. 13, Boise Fire Officials said a warming unit that had been left on overnight had started a fire within the Brickyard Steakhouse and Amsterdam lounge in downtown Boise.

According to Boise Weekly, investigators said the warmer had been left on and wood plates within the warmer ignited and continued to spread up the wall.

Brickyard reportedly suffered the majority of the damage, with smoke and water damage also reported at the Amsterdam.

Lucky for your appetites, both establishments are up and running, reporting that the damage was minimal and did not impact business at all.
