‘Unplug and Be Outside’ in Meridian
Do you ever get that feeling that you just need to unplug? Get off social media, get off the couch and just enjoy your day outside? Well the City of Meridian is encouraging that during their 'Unplug and Be Outside' week-long event. According to their press release the event the runs May 5 - 12, is "designed to help everyone experience the joy of discovering a new activity, meet new friends and explore new places".
For seven days you and your family will have a chance to experience over 40 FREE arts, sports, and recreation activities that are great for any age! Some of these include: jump rope lessons, 45-minute clinics in football, volleyball and soccer, outdoor photography lessons, line-dance lessons and much more (a full schedule of activities can be found HERE!! This year, Mayor Tammy de Weerd is introducing the Unplug Challenge. The more activities you participate in, the more chances you have to win some really cool prizes. You can pick up a bingo card to keep track at their kick-off event (Saturday, May 5).
