For 16 years, Idaho native Trevor Schaefer has been leading a crusade, and now, it has finally paid off. According to KTVB, Trevor was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 13, that cancer he believes, was caused by contaminated water in McCall. So he and his family set out on a journey to prevent these types of incidents from happening to others.

In 2016, President Obama signed it into law, but since then, their issue has been funding. Finally, working hard and teaming up with activists around the country, Trevor's Law has $1 million allocated to their cause. Trevor tells KTVB, this funding:

allows the office of Health and Human Services to create guidelines for implementation of Trevor’s Law, then be able to create a resource where these impacted community members can go to share concerns and their need for an investigation.

What an amazing story, right? Well, you'll be able to learn more about it when the movie based on Trevor's story is released!
