The Boise Police Department along with every possible emergency crew is on the scene trying their best to clean up what appears to be SAND that has been dumped all over the connector coming out of downtown Boise just as rush hour traffic begins.

The accident took place just before 3 o'clock but crews are still on the scene trying to clean things up and get traffic running as smoothly as possible.  According to KTVB, the accident is in the vicinity near River Street and the two right lanes are currently blocked.  We have no idea what caused the accident but it looks as if a large truck flipped over onto its side dumping its contents all over the freeway.

So far, no injuries have been reported and the connector is squeezing traffic through one lane so please stay away from this area if possible, find another route, or give yourself plenty of time to get home.  We'll keep you posted as more information comes in.
