The new year is off to a great start for families who welcomed new bundles of joy into the world.

According to KTVB, the first baby born at St. Al's in 2018 is Phoenix Lyn Thomas. The beautiful little girl was delivered at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise at at 2:55 a.m. on New Year's Day.

The first baby born at a St. Luke's hospital in Idaho was Arianna Ayala arriving at 4:53 a.m. at the new St. Luke's in Nampa. 

Arianna's mom, Marianne Olmos, is used to holiday babies; according to KTVB, Marianne has a "Fourth of July baby, a Christmas Eve baby and a Thanksgiving baby." So baby Arianna fit right in.
