Treasure Valley Hits Orange Air Quality

Smoky Treasure Valley has hit orange quality levels today after after a recycling plant fire.

This indicates an air quality index between 101 and 150 which is considered unhealthy for sensitive people, including those with asthma and lung disease.

The fire happened at Diamond Street Recycling near the Boise airport.  The thick smoke gathered into the valley and has yet to blow out.  Firefighters have the fire under control but it continues to smolder.
