My dog Gracie is awesome. But she's also nuts.

I adopted Gracie from an animal shelter in Buhl a few years ago. She's a part whippet, part retriever mix. But she got all of the neurotic tendencies that come with being a whippet. She's high-strung. She needs a TON of exercise. She must be near me at all times.

I mean, she's incredibly sweet and loyal, but she is sooooo needy.

I decided this week she needs a little more exercise than I've been able to give her. So I signed her up for a doggie daycare. Today is her first day and I'm nervous just like I was when I sent my daughters off to school for the first time.

What if the other dogs don't like Gracie?! What if she gets picked on?! What if she's sad because she thinks I won't be coming back?! What if Gracie acts like a jerk and they call me screaming "Come get this crazy mutt!"

I'm sure she'll be fine, but it's kind of scary dropping your dog off into an unknown situation. You have any great experiences with a Treasure Valley doggie daycare? Any horror stories you want to share?
