Wyoming hunting ends at the same time Idaho hunting begins which is why the Wyoming Game and Fish Department set up a sting in efforts to catch those breaking the law.

The bait? A remote controlled mule deer buck.  Their latest sting was set up on October 10, 2017 along Caribou-Targhee National Forest roads in a closed area in northwestern Wyoming.

According to KSL the fake deer is released every year and every year someone takes a shot at it.  So far this year we have three lucky men from good old Idaho that popped off trying to take the remote control deer down and obviously, there was no prize to take home.

The names of the three individuals have not been released but the message has been heard throughout the hunting community loud and clear.  Make sure you're hunting in the right area, at the right time, and the right way.
