It's the tale we've heard far too many times this summer. A fatal car accident, this time involving a teenage driver taken far too soon.

The identity of the teenager has not been released, but what we do know is that the crash happened yesterday afternoon at about 2:30 at the intersection of Klahr Road and U.S. 95 just north of Parma.

The teenager killed was driving a 2001 Ford F150 westbound on Klahr Road. 43 year old Joe Sexton was driving southbound in a 2016 Ram 3500 along U.S. 95 when they collided as the teenager was crossing the intersection.

According to KTVB, the teen driver died at the scene and the passenger in the Ford, also a teenager, was flown to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.

The crash was so severe that U.S. 95 was blocked for about 3 hours yesterday.

As for the two people in the Ram, we know they were not taken to the hospital, but the extent of their injuries, if any are not known at this time. It has also not been released whether or not the people involved in this crash were wearing seat belts.

I can not even fathom loosing a child, especially in an instant like this. Please pray and send positive thoughts for the family who is dealing with this terrible sudden loss.
