Mayor Lauren McLean voted for the project, breaking the tie and accepting the proposal to build. Boise Mayor McLean knows that the city is in need of more housing and fast.

The proposed light rail line would stretch from Caldwell to Boise, parallel to Interstate 84. The Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho, or COMPASS, was asking for the publics opinion on the proposed plan and posted a survey on their website. Most people voted in favor and support of it.

After a successful trial run Boise on the Block is fully launching on Monday. Streets in Downtown Boise will close to traffic to make room for outdoor dining.

Two small groups of people got into a fight and one group took off in their vehicle. These two followed in their vehicle and then began firing shots. Both have been arrested.

Boise's City Hall is currently barricaded down. City Officials and the Boise Police have been preparing all day for the planned protests later today.
