A 2-month-old puppy stuffed in a handbag and stolen from the Humane Society of Utah. Now that cute little pup has been found in the car of a drunk driver in Meridian.

Little "Cookie" was found when police pulled over 43-year-old Jennifer Lyon. She was arrested on charges of suspicion of driving under the influence, driving under the influence excessive, and alcoholic beverage consume or possess open container by driver according to idahonews.com.

The curious thing is that although "Cookie" was identified by microchip, the woman she was found with did not match the description of the woman seen on camera taking the little dog from the shelter.

That woman was about 5'6"  and between 220 and 250 lbs. She had long black hair and was wearing a purple jacket.

Investigators believe either "Cookie" was given away or sold so they could avoid being caught or they were planning to transport her for some reason.

Now she's in good hands and is headed back to Utah for adoption.
