Well we are two weeks into 2017, how is your News Years resolution going?

New Years resolutions are interesting to me, I understand the "fresh start" and the need or want to create goals for the New Year but I then I think, can I force myself to be a better person and am I really going to change my habits and who I am over night? Last year I set a simple goal for myself, to drink a half gallon of water a day. I failed. Failed miserably. So, I attempted to start over this year but with a slight twist and a different frame of mind. No more daily soda, I've had two over the last two weeks. I'm still working on this whole water thing and even though I'm not drinking soda I then find myself just being dehydrated. Doh.

I found this to be interesting and in no way is it a shock. According to Forbes.com, only 8% of people achieve their New Years resolution but what did surprise me from reading another article was only about 41% usually make a resolution, and if you are over 50 your chance of achieving your goal is a whooping 16.3% while people in their 20's is 37.8%

The article is actually pretty interesting, http://www.statisticbrain.com/new-years-resolution-statistics/

So, if you're struggling with your New Years resolution... apparently you're not alone.
