Rick and Carly's Kids: Meet Brandon

Brandon is a super cool 8 year old boy who lives in Meridian and captured our hearts. He's "Rick and Carly's Kid" for December and this is his story.

Brandon just turned 8 yesterday and unfortunately with his birthday being so close to Christmas, like other children born around the holidays, his birthday often gets lost in the mix of the hustle and bustle of the season despite efforts from his Mom, Crystal.

Brandon is like most 8 year old boys, he loves sports, art, and playing with his older brother Robert, but Brandon and his family have faced some challenges.

Recently, Brandon was diagnosed with Oppositional Defiant Disorder and ADHD. He has meltdowns several nights a week, has struggled with his friends because of his outbursts, and it's left his Mom often feeling frustrated.

We wanted to give Brandon and his family a little break from the chaos that ODD and ADHD can bring into the household, plus we wanted to make sure Brandon's birthday was special this year. Here's what we had in store for Brandon. Watch the video below.
