This wild beast is bucking the trend of what exactly can force a school to close.

Apologies for the horrid pun. I couldn't help myself. Anyways, when a school closes for the day, it's usually because of one of only a few causes:

  • Snow
  • Water main break or some kind of malfunction
  • Fire
  • Security issue

If you consider a rampaging bull on campus as a "security issue," then maybe this is normal. In Burley today, a full-grown bull escaped an auction yard and began terrorizing the town. The animal was seen knocking down street signs, charging toward people, and chasing after students heading to class at Burley High School.

The local sheriff's office was notified, and BHS was put on lock down for around 15 minutes. Luckily, they were able to direct the animal off campus. Not so lucky for the bull, officers were forced to put it down after they were unsuccessful in capturing the animal.

No shots were fired on BHS campus.
