Rat Poison seems to be the cause of death.

A murder of crows (about 50 birds) were found dead in the 400 block of 3rd St. in Nampa last month. Idaho Fish and Game did some testing with several bird carcasses, and found that they "tested positive for a common ingredient in rat poison."

It's not clear whether the crows were specifically targeted. The Nampa Police Department says poisoning animals is illegal. If you see some of these birds, be careful when (and if) you're handling them because the substance is dangerous.

If you do find a large amount of dead animals - call the Nampa Animal Control or the Idaho Fish and Game Department.
