So I went to Gold Fork Hot Springs near Donnelly for the first time a couple months ago, and it was absolutely breathtaking. But, I'd heard that when the snow is on the ground it's that much more incredible.

So, we took advantage of the first snow-fall of the season to check it out.

My sister, Brenda, and her boyfriend, Pablo, were visiting from California, and I thought this is one of those "Idaho things" they HAD to try.

So we made the trip up. Luckily, it wasn't snowing and the roads were dry so I wasn't stepping on my passenger break the whole time hehe. Once we got to up to Gold Fork and started walking toward the springs, it made it ALL worth it. If you're looking for a fun day trip, this is it!

The trip from downtown Boise took about 2 hours and 10 minutes, but with the amazing views on highway 55, it'll go by in a flash. Here's the actual address - 1026 Gold Fork Road, Donnelly ID. CLICK HERE for directions.

The cost is $10 per person (kids 2-9, $5), and don't forget THIS....they're ***CASH/CHECK ONLY***

The day before we went up, the road leading up was closed down because of the snow, so I would call ahead before you head up, but here are the hours of operation:

Regular: Noon to 9PM

Saturday: Noon to 11PM

Closed Tuesdays (for pool draining)

Open All Holidays
