Online Suicide Game Sweeping Through Idaho Schools

Emails were just sent out in the Nampa School District yesterday warning parents about a new online suicide game that unfortunately is very real.

It's called "The Blue Whale Challenge" and it encourages troubled students, especially teenagers to injure and mutilate themselves for fifty days before finally committing suicide.

This social media dark challenge brainwashes young people and is already responsible for over 100 deaths in Russia where it is believed to have originated.  Unfortunately, online is world wide and it's spreading... everywhere.

School districts here in Idaho are hoping that by educating students and parents sooner rather than later we can keep this from taking even one life here in the Treasure Valley.  Parents... please talk to your kids about this.  It's our responsibility to keep our children safe.
