An old Caldwell library is getting a facelift for our vets.

According to KTVB, Carnagie Library on Caldwell Blvd has been undergoing some renovations for over three years. And now, it's almost complete.

A new Veteran's Memorial Hall will call the the 104-year-old building home come May 2018. It didn't come easy though; it took about "9,500 hours of volunteer work and $485,000 in generous donations."

Very soon, Canyon County's 14,000 veterans will be able to head to a local place instead of making their way to Boise for services like "claims for disabilities or death benefits, [...] for our veterans and their spouses." Plus, there will be a large meeting place for about 150 people, board room, AND private offices.

I think this is so awesome, local vets volunteered their time to make a reality of a new memorial hall that they'll be able to use in the very near future. Can't wait to see the finished product. Great job!
