One man is dead and an officer has been shot in Boise.

It happened near Capitol High School last night at 11:42 pm around Bridlewood Circle and North Glenwood Street.

After reports of a shooting, police arrived on scene and found a man standing outside a home after he had shot another man. The suspect then pulled out a gun and shot one of the officers in the chest.

According to KTVB, the suspect is now dead, but it's unclear if the man shot himself or if he was taken down by the officers bullets. The other man the suspect had shot is in the hospital, but still alive.

Luckily, the wounded officer was wearing a ballistic vest and his injuries are not life- threatening.

The identities of the suspect and his victims have not been released and detectives are still investigating at the scene. Keep in mind the roads are blocked around Bridlewood Circle and North Glenwood Street.
