North Idaho Principal Dead From Suicide

According to the Idaho Statesman 42-year-old Troy Schueller was found at his home earlier this afternoon with a gunshot wound to the head which ended up causing his death.  Schueller was the principal for Coeur d’Alene High School and authorities say the gunshot wound was most likely self inflicted.

I remember growing up in San Diego and my Jr. High teacher did the same thing.  His name was Mr. Summers.  Mr. Summers was kind, could relate to the kids, always made people feel better about themselves and it was just shocking to hear the news... it was devastating.  How could such a wonderful human being have so many demons and so much going wrong in their life that they'd commit suicide?

I feel for the students at Coeur d’Alene High School.  I feel for the teachers and staff.  Most of all I feel for Troy Schueller's family and friends.  I'm sure we'll hear more in the coming days as to what Schueller was going through and why he did it but for now we can only pray for his family.  Our thoughts are with you.
