Ever need crutches? A wheelchair? It's likely that when you do need this type of medical equipment, you only need it for a few weeks to a couple of months. It's kind of a bummer having to fork out a bunch of cash  for something you only need for such a short time, right?

Well, there's this awesome program that's been offering people in the Treasure Valley the medical equipment they need for FREE!!

According to KBOI, Dale Anderson "co-founded the program through the Knights of Columbus Risen Christ Council in Meridian back in 2002."

Since then, the program has grown to offer free medical equipment like canes, wheelchairs, and more, to help many people in the Treasure Valley - 5,000 last year alone.

Here's how it works:

Every Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., volunteers help up to 100 people find the equipment they need. It's then loaned our free of charge for as long as they need. When they don't need it anymore, they bring it back.

It is then cleaned/repaired and put back on the floor to be used again.

If you or someone you know, needs some equipment, you can check them out here:
