National Guard’s 116th Holds a Change of Command Ceremony at Gowen Field

Leadership at the top has changed for the Idaho Army National Guard's 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team on Saturday.

A big thank you to Col. Russell Johnson who's led the unit from February 1, 2014 to now.  We welcome the new commander, Col. Farin Schwartz who has extensive experience with the 116th and has deployed overseas in many combat missions.

We know these men and women, along with their families sacrifice so much to protect and serve.  Our prayers and thanks are always with you!
