According to KTVB new developments have come up in the death of 36-year-old Georgia Carrera of Nampa, Idaho.  Carrera was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a police chase Tuesday morning where Nampa Police were attempting to pull over 46-year-old Joe A. Nevarez on 2nd Street south around midnight.

Carrera jumped from the vehicle and court testimony revealed today that she was run over by Nampa Police at that time.  Nevarez did not stop and has since been detained and is awaiting his day in court but little to no information has been released about if police stopped or what exactly happened.

We know that Nevarez was pulled over at some point and then took off which is what instigated the chase.  He's currently in the Canyon County Jail on eluding police and drug charges but has not been charged with murder.  His bond has been set at $1 million.

The Nampa Police Department cannot comment at this time because of the investigation.  Carrera leaves behind a son and two daughters.  The official cause of death has not yet been released.  Our thoughts and prayers to her family.
