Nampa Man Could Face 15 Yrs For Flashlight Attack
49 year old Herbert Glenn Harrod of Nampa is currently behind bars for allegedly repeatedly hitting another man with a large flashlight on Sunday morning. The incident reportedly stemmed from Harrod accusing the victim of having sex with his girlfriend. Sources say that Harrod attacked the man with a three-foot MagLite flashlight which he had swung at the victim's head but he blocked the swings with his arm.
Court documents say that Harrod admitted to officers that he had indeed hit the other man with the flashlight. Harrod now faces a felony aggravated battery charge and was booked into Canyon County jail where he remains on a $50,000 bond.
Harrod is scheduled to appear in court on November 23rd and if convicted could face as much as 15 years in prison.
