Nampa Library Forgives Fines in Exchange for Food

Whoops! You forgot to return that book and now you've got a fine...not for long.

Nampa Public Library has teamed up with Nampa First Church of the Nazerene to help you get rid of those fines while helping folks in your community.

During the month of December, for every item you donate, your overdue fines will be reduce by $1 (up to $10 per account). There is one stipulation though, the reduction only applies to overdue fees and NOT for lost or damaged items or collection fees.

If you're awesome at returning your books (good for you!!), and you don't have any fees, you can still donate to the library, and all the proceeds will benefit the nonprofit food bank, Nampa Nazarene Care House.
