Murderer in Melba

A man's body found in the desert has lead to the arrest of a Melba man for murder.

On October 21st hunters found a body in the Bruneau desert and as authorities started to investigate they gathered enough evidence to arrest 27 year old Nicholas B. Vandenberg yesterday.

According to KTVB Vandenberg is currently being held in the Owyhee County Jail.

So far they are not releasing the name of the person found dead in the desert. The only thing we know so far is that the victim died of a gun shot wound.

Hopefully this provides closure for the family and justice will be served.
