Motorcyclists stopped in Boise yesterday as part of a cross country venture to honor two very special soldiers from Idaho.

The families of fallen soldiers, Philip Murphy Sweet and Brandon Titus were honored with distinguished service plaques as part of the Tribute to Fallen Soldiers Memorial Torch Motorcycle Ride.

It's part of a 14 day 3,000 mile journey that started in Eugene, Oregon and finishes up at Arlington National Cemetery. Motorcycle riders will stop at the homes of fallen soldiers along the way.

According to KTVB, the purpose is to let families know that their loved one who served has not been forgotten.

The motorcycle ride will honor 48 fallen soldiers along their ride through 12 different states.

Philip Murphy-Sweet of Parma was killed back in Iraq back in 2007.

Brandon Titus of Boise also died fighting in Iraq back in 2004.

The Fallen Soldiers Memorial Torch Motorcycle Ride will honor two more soldiers today, Sgt. James Holtom and Army Specialist Robert Dyas.

A torch will be lit the entire trip and once they arrive at Arlington National Cemetery the names of all 48 soldiers will be read before the torch light is put out.
