With everything that's going on the world right now, it's so great to report on some GOOD news.  Not just good, but inspiring as well.  After a Boise police officer was shot and critically injured on Friday, more than $30,000 in donations have been raised for him.........and that was in a SINGLE DAY!

The officer who's identity hasn't been released as of yet, is a 17-year veteran of the force and is still in critical, but stable condition at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.

As stated on the GoFundMe page set up to gather donations, the officer  sustained "significant injuries and will require long term medical care." In addition Chief Bill Bones has said that reconstructive surgery will be required as well as months of treatment.  The officer's home may also need to be made more accessible.

BPD Lt. Ted Snyder says, "this is just one more example of how the community comes together for it's department and I can't tell you how much we appreciate it."
