Over 500,000 people have watched a video of Middleton High's football team doing the Polynesian War Cry called "The Haka."

It's a 35 second video from their game over the weekend.  It's been shared almost 4,000 times and has some interesting comments about if an American high school team should or should not be doing the dance.

Assistant Coach Harland Ah taught the dance to his players back in 2011 when they showed interest.  The kids just wanted to learn it because it was cool.

Ah's family is of Samoan decent and he lived in Hawaii before coming to Boise.  He says The Haka teaches his players to have respect for themselves and others.  Specifically their teammates.
