Meridian Veterinarian Forces Little Girl To Watch Porn & More

47-year-old Dr. Craig D. Maloney, of Meridian, has just been sentenced to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to a count of lewd conduct with a minor child under 16.  According to East Idaho News, the girl was 9-years-old at the time he forced her to watch pornography and then engage in oral sex.

Prosecutors were looking for a life sentence but will have to settle for 40 years.  Judge Samuel Hoagland told Maloney that all the good he's ever done before or will do in the future cannot and will not ever outweigh the evil that took place with this crime.

What drives me crazy are these attorneys who try to justify or make excuses which is exactly what Maloney's attorney did.  He claimed that because Maloney had no prior record that the judge should show leniency.  I don't care if this guy was an angel from up above before this happened.  The psychological damage this little girl will face her entire life knows nothing about how good this man may have been before, or whether or not he had a record or any prior trouble with the law.  She doesn't care and I don't either.

This little girl had the courage to stand up in the courtroom and go into specific details of Maloney forcing her to watch porn, groping, oral sex, and more.  Many left the courtroom at this time because the details were so disturbing and graphic.  She also explained how this nightmare has affected her life and the difficulties she now faces moving forward.  She constantly deals with nightmares, depression, a warped sense of body image, and she often thinks of suicide.  She also says that Maloney's crimes were much more often and more severe than what he's admitting to.  This abuse started when she was around 5-years-old and continued for about 10 years.

All of our love and thoughts go out to this young girl and her family.  We can only hope that they can find a way to move forward and find GOOD in this world.  Thoughts and prayers.
