Meridian Hit and Run Suspect Turns Himself In
He hit a teenage girl and then left the scene of the accident. Now this man is stepping forward to say “I did it.”
48 year old Kyle James Sheldon has not said why he left the scene after hitting a 15 year old girl who had the right of way in a crosswalk near Mountain View High School on Monday morning.
He turned himself in after surveillance video of his white 4-door sedan was released to the public.
According to KTVB, the girl who was hit did not receive life-threatening injuries, but there is no way Sheldon could have known that before he took off. She has been treated at a local hospital and her name has not been released.
As for Sheldon, he has been charged with a felony for leaving the scene of an injury accident. He is due in court this afternoon and faces up to five years in prison.
