Memorial Planned for Jardo & Other K9 Officers
A memorial is being planned for Jardo and other K9 officers who have died in the line of duty. Mike Johnson, president of the Idaho Peace Officers' Memorial says it will be built in an area that stands just before the fallen peace officer memorial that stands at the ISP headquarters.
Johnson says, "We found it to be a acceptable and a honorable place that when people walk in here they see the officers, they see the K9, then they of course go to the star."
The Fraternal Order of Police has been raising funds for the memorial and and raised roughly $5000 thus far. They hope to have the project completed by this spring.
