Man Who Killed BSU Student Sentenced

18 year old Sierra Bush's family has finally received justice. Her killer was sentenced at the Ada County Courthouse this morning. 

62 year old Bruce Marchant has admitted to dumping the the BSU honor student's body in a creek south of Idaho City.

Before sentencing, Sierra's step-father, Bart Green described her as highly intelligent with excellent grades.

According to the Boise Coroner, Sierra who also went by Simon died of asphyxiation at the hands of Bruce Marchant.

He entered the court room clean shaven. According to KTVB Marchant has pleaded guilty to first degree murder. The charges of kidnapping and rape were dropped in a plea deal.

This morning the judge sentenced Bruce Marchant to Life in Prison without the possibility of parole.

We certainly hope this brings Sierra's family some sort of comfort during this horrible tragedy.
