The incident happened earlier today.

According to KTVB, a man in his 50's had to be rescued from the swift Boise River earlier today. It happened near the corner of Hatchery and Trout roads on Eagle Island State Park today at around 11:15 a.m.

The man's friend was able to call for help, and along with a Good Samaritan, emergency crews were able to get him out of the cold, swift water.
