Lucky Peak Crash Update: Mom and 3 Children Killed

The 4 crash victims from in a deadly accident at Lucky Peak have been identified as a Mom and her 3 children. 

The crash occurred just before 7am yesterday. Witness say they saw an SUV accelerate instead of braking before going off High Bridge near Idaho 21. The car plunged 50 to 70 feet before crashing in the water and sinking another 40 feet.

The bodies of three children, a 12 year old girl, 10 year old boy, and 6 year old girl were quickly recovered while the 40 year old Mother remained in the vehicle while the SUV was towed to shore.

Sheriff's officials confirm there were no signs of braking before the SUV plummeted off the cliff.

Officials are now trying to determine if the crash occurred because of a medical issue, a mechanical issue with the SUV, or if the Mother intentionally drove off the cliff.

The names of the Mother and her children are likely to be released today after relatives are notified of the deaths. Our thoughts and prayers are with their loved ones as they endure this horrible tragedy.
